About Us

Power and Energy Society ENIS SBC

Power and Energy Society is a chapter aim to put an accent on the importance of energy in our lives and to show the latest technological developments in the electric power industry It was found in 2013 at the National School of Engineering of Sfax .This chapter introduces renewable energy that help us to make eco-friendly technology harmless to the environment and it focuses also on current power system infrastructures and technological advancements in energy resources, smart grid and smart cities for the betterment of society .

TSYP

17-18-19 December 2023

The Tunisian Students and Young Professionals (TSYP) is an annual IEEE event in Tunisia, focusing on future challenges in science and engineering. This year's TSYP challenge for PES_IES aims to optimize an educational robot. Participants are tasked with enhancing its energy efficiency, safety features, and incorporating IoT for control and AI for emotion detection. Our chapter secured first place in the PES&IES TSYP challenge through dedicated efforts.

The Power and Energy Society Tunisia General Meeting is an annual event for PES Tunisia student chapters. The 4th TGM focused on "Smart City." It offers a platform for participants to explore the latest power and energy developments. The event includes non-technical challenges where we presented our chapter and technical challenges, where we developed a smart meter with IoT integration to signal phone alerts for excessive power consumption.
