From September 17 to 22, 2024, TEC Week 1.0 united over 120 innovators, students, and professionals to address challenges in aerospace, energy, and electronics. Organized by the IEEE SSCS, PES, AESS, and CASS Student Branch Chapters of ENIS, this collaborative event combined technical workshops, online sessions, and a competitive hackathon.The week began with three online sessions, featuring expert talks on space exploration, energy in space, and satellite communications. These sessions set the stage for the main event, held on September 21-22 in Monastir, Tunisia. Participants engaged in hands-on workshops and a hackathon focused on space debris management, developing sustainable solutions for this growing challenge.The event featured distinguished speakers, including Ms. Rania Toukebri from Airbus Defence and Space, who discussed space innovation and debris management, and Mr. Matthew Johnston, who delivered a CASS Distinguished Lecture on self-powered circuits. Mr. Mohamed Ali Zormati from Orange ODC shared collaboration opportunities, while Mr. Sedki Amor from IMEC explored advancements in space electronics. Their expertise provided participants with valuable insights to refine their projects.TEC Week 1.0 was a remarkable success, inspiring collaboration and innovation in space technology.
